World Airways has signed a one-year agreement with Jade Cargo International to operate a B747-400 freighter for the Chinese-German joint venture carrier. Beginning October the freighter will fly three-times weekly on the Shanghai- Yantai-Chicago-Amsterdam-Shanghai route. "World Airways is proud to become a service provider for Jade Cargo, a well-known, quality cargo carrier and we look forward to a strong business relationship" said Brian Bauer, chief commercial officer for Global Aviation Holdings, parent company of World Airways. World also recently announced an increase in cargo fleet capacity with the addition of two 747-400 freighters, which will bring World’s 747-400 fleet to four aircraft, in addition to nine MD-11 freighters.
