Europe service freighter JAL Japan Airlines Cargo

Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to shut down its operations at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport later this month. The move is part of a wide-ranging restructuring plan which will see the axing of freighter operations and a number of international passenger routes. The Tokyo-Amsterdam-Frankfurt-Tokyo service is JAL’s last remaining B747-400F service to Europe, which has operated three times a week. The Schiphol stop will be suspended from 29 September, and the freighter service will cease totally from the end of October. JAL will also cut services to Milan and Rome at the end of September, but will retain daily B777 flights from Paris, London and Frankfurt to Tokyo Narita.
