A new air services agreement promises more competition and flights between Australia and China with an expected boost in capacity by as much as 70 per cent by the end of 2010. Included in the agreement was the opening up of more 5th freedom routes and a shared commitment to commencing negotiations aimed at concluding an ‘open skies’ agreement.
