Air France Cargo anti-trust restrictions integration joint management KLM Cargo

Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo have announced the integration of their commercial activities in the US, effective 1 October as a result of US regulators lifting anti-trust restrictions that had previously prevented such an integration.

This integration will result in integrated commercial teams under a joint management coordinated with Delta Cargo within the Air France-KLMDelta financial joint venture on North Atlantic routes.

Air France and KLM joined forces in May 2004, resulting in “one group, two airlines, three businesses” (passenger, cargo and engineering and maintenance). In October 2005, Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo integrated their worldwide commercial activities creating “one face” to the market. However, the US market was an exception to this integration due to antitrust restrictions.
