Huawei Technologies international air freight logistics service provider logistics services Panalpina supply chain

Swiss-based global forwarder Panalpina has been named as a prime logistics service provider (LSP) by China’s Huawei Technologies, a global telecommunications giant, for Huawei’s China-Brazil end-to-end business.

Under the three-year agreement Panalpina will handle all international air freight estimated to be several thousand tonnes annually, from China to Brazil as well as the full logistics services at destination, including local distribution and warehousing. Panalpina will also act as back-up carrier for all ocean freight movements into Brazil.

“This is an important milestone in our relationship with Huawei,” said Panalpina’s chief marketing & sales and supply chain management officer, Sandro Knecht. “It adds to an already successful collaboration that has been continuously expanded over the past years.”

Huawei Technologies serves 35 of the world’s top 50 telecommunications operators, along with over one billion users worldwide.
