Straight from the ‘Oops’ department, the headline kinda sums it all up: “Pet store expects fish shipment, but gets corpse”. Ahh, yes the dreaded corpse/fish mix-up. We’re sure it must happen all the time. Apparently, the employees of a Philadelphia pet store were expecting to get an air cargo shipment of tropical fish and salt water but…oops, ended up getting a human body instead.

The body was that of a 65-year-old San Diego-area man who died of early onset Alzheimer’s Disease and was supposed to go to a laboratory so samples could be taken for medical research. US Airways released a statement saying the problem was caused by a “verbal miscommunication between a delivery driver and the cargo representative.” The airline said it’s deeply sorry. Oh and by the way…oops part two, the fish died too!
