The Sri Lanka Airline Cargo Association (SLACA) elected a new committee at their 20th Annual General Meeting. The association was formed in 1988 and during the past 20 years the association has been actively involved in the freight industry representing all the cargo airlines in Sri Lanka. Fellow members represent online and offline carriers and actively take part in several activities such as charity, social events and educational programs & conducts various courses, seminars and work shops for the airline industry. The new office bearers of the SLACA are (Left to right in the photo above): Chamara Ranasinghe – Alitalia (Secretary), Soekarno Ousmand – Qatar Airways (Asst. Secretary), Chaminda Perera – Emirates Sky Cargo (Treasurer), Sanjiva Sahabandu – Korean Air (Vice President – Industrial), Nalaka Senanayake – Royal Jordanian Airline (Immediate Past President), Anil Wijesinghe – Nippon Cargo Airlines (President), Nilan Gunatilaka – Etihad Crystal Cargo (Vice President – Social), Kapila Shanthappriya – Cathay Pacific (Social Co-ordinator), Sudath Pathmasiri Emirates Sky Cargo – (Asst. Social Coordinator), Jayadeva Abayakoon – Saudi Arabian Airlines (Asst. Treasurer).
