BOC Aviation has selected Rolls- Royce Trent 700 engines for its five A330 freighters ordered direct from Airbus early this year. The freighters, scheduled for delivery between 2012 and 2013, have already been placed on long term leases.

Robert Martin, BOC Aviation MD and CEO, said the popularity of the Trent 700 with operators around the world ensures BOC Aviation can not only meet the demands of its customers but that they, in turn, “benefit from utilising the market leading engine on this airframe”.

BOC Aviation is the largest Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 80 modern aircraft flying with airlines worldwide. In addition, the company has 76 aircraft on order for delivery through to 2013. BOC Aviation has one of the youngest fleet in the industry with an average aircraft age of four years. BOC Aviation is 100 per cent owned by Bank of China, the sixth largest bank in the world.
