Rock-It Cargo LLC announced recently that it has merged with Dietl International Services. Both companies are based in the US and specialise in “time critical international logistics for complex shipping situations”. Rock-It provides logistics services in the music touring and live events sector while Dietl offers shipping services to the fine arts industry.

“Rock-It’s experience and reach will really add to the options available to our operations staff ,” said Fritz Dietl, CEO of Dietl. “Their scale can help us provide unique solutions which will benefit our partner agents and clients. As an example, last December we partnered with Rock-It Cargo to charter an entire B747 freighter to ship artwork from the Art Basel Miami Beach show back to Europe. We were able to return all shipments to their final destination within one week of the closing of the fair during the busiest shipping period of the year and at reasonable rates.”

In a statement, Rock-It said Dietl would operate as an independent division and continue its service to its agents and clientele of collectors, galleries, auction houses and museums. “Dietl clients will now benefit from additional resources such as pre-screening of cargo, access to more chartered aircraft, specialised equipment and locations, as well as a significantly expanded personnel base.”
