Bahrain-based Gulf Air has signed in Aramex International Ltd, a leading global transport solutions company, to its Global Incentive Agreement Programme (GIAP).
The GIAP, introduced by Gulf Air last year, is designed to provide its key global partners with incentives to boost their cargo traffic volumes and reciprocally ensure that Gulf Air is endorsed as a "Core Carrier" of its partners.
"We are delighted to have Aramex on board as our partner in this incentive programme and are looking forward to a long and mutually rewarding relationship," says Mr. Abdulla.
"Global incentive arrangements are a key strategy in building effective partnerships, especially when it comes to air cargo industry. As one of the world leaders in logistics and express delivery industry, Aramex has always been our preferred partner-in-business."
The agreement provides access, for both Gulf Air and Aramex, to permanent direct bookings, specific service-level commitments, service recovery plans and claims processing as well as regular interface with key account managers at headquarters. Last year DHL Express, another leading global transport and logistics solutions company, signed up to this incentive agreement.
