Japanese global forwarder Kintetsu World Express (KWE) has expanded its express air cargo delivery services between Japan and Shanghai, China. The forwarder has added the Central Japan International Airport its current terminals at Narita and Kansai airports for its ‘Shanghai 12 Express’ and ‘Shanghai 24 Express’ products.
“Since starting last year (from Narita and Kansai), these services through their ability to provide delivery from a shipper in Japan to a consignee in Shanghai within 12 or 24 hours have been extremely well received by KWE’s customers,” said the Japanese forwarder.
“While the flight time from these three airports to Shanghai is only approximately three hours, due to customs clearance procedures and similar at both the departure and arrival airports, prior to the introductionof these services ordinarily 2-3 days was required for final delivery to the consignee. Shanghai 12 and Shanghai 24,through providing late night shippingon the Japanese side and early morning arrival in Shanghai, have achieved great reductions in transport times.”
