Germany’s Lufthansa Cargo began non-stop services to Toronto from the beginning of September. The airfreight subsidiary in the Lufthansa Group will be flying twice-weekly with an MD-11F freighter to Canada’s largest city. Capacity for around 90 tonnes of freight will be available on each flight and the flight will return to Frankfurt via Atlanta. With the new flights to Toronto, the carrier is again serving a station in Canada with its own freighter service for the first time since 2000. The flight ex Frankfurt to Toronto will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Return flights leave Toronto early on Wednesday and on Sunday morning.
