Damco recently celebrated its 1st anniversary as a global forwarder,realising a 26 per cent revenue growth and 20 per cent growth in its client base in the Asia-Pacific region covering Southeast Asia and Oceania countries.
“It’s been a great start for Damco in Asia-Pacific, having experienced significant growth in the past year, propelled by increased business activities in industries such as Retail and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods),” said Jens Wessel, head of Damco in Asia-Pacific.
Damco was born from the merger of Dutch freight forwarding company Damco Sea & Air and the forwarding activities of Denmark-based DSL Star Express.
