Traxon Europe’s Cargo 2000 Data Management Platform, has been certified by Cargo 2000 for its ability to measure and manage the quality of air cargo processes between freight forwarders and airlines.
Traxon has been actively involved in Cargo 2000’s quality program since its launch, providing the CDMP used by many of the group’s members. Today, the company’s Traxon Cargo Management and Traxon CDMP solutions operate for Air France, Lufthansa Cargo, Korean Airlines and Nippon Cargo Airlines, as well as Schenker, SDV Group, Yusen Air & Sea and Agility.
Felix Keck managing director of Traxon Europe, said: “When Traxon was founded in 1991, we started with Status Request and receiving Status Answers from airlines. This led to airlines being able to send information proactively through Freight Status Updates. Today, however, what everybody wants – particularly shippers – is management by exception. They want to be informed when something goes wrong and the Cargo 2000 route map has reduced and clearly identified the milestones that enable us to do this.
Looking ahead, as additional security requirements come into force, largely based on advanced electronic reporting, and the industry succeeds in doing away with paper documentation to a larger extent, we are putting the building blocks in place to offer exception management at piece level,” Keck said.
