Brussels Cargo, the cargo division of Brussels Airlines, has launched a new daylight courier service to major cities across Europe. The new service will be marketed by the airline’s exclusive cargo GSA, Globe Air Cargo, part of European Cargo Services (ECS) to and from Brussels. It initially serves launch destinations of Athens, Barcelona, Lisbon, Nice, Madrid and Warsaw carrying shipments containing pieces of up to 32 kilos each.
“The frequency and reliability of our services in Europe make this a viable new product for courier, express and freight forwarding companies. With standard acceptance times of 60 minutes before departure and fast clearance on arrival at destination, we expect to attract good customer support, particularly for shipments of spare parts and medical/healthcare products,” said the head of cargo sales at Brussels Airlines, Guy Hardy.
Brussels Cargo operates daily bellyhold cargo flights to Brussels Airlines’ African and European destinations. In addition, the cargo department works with other airlines in order to also offer intercontinental and trans-European cargo flights.
