Siemens Mobility has been selected by Taiwan Air Cargo Terminal Ltd (TACT) as it moves to expand its cargo facilities at Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Siemens was awarded a contract to equip the existing cargo centre at Taipei Airport with a modern material handling system and to construct a new handling system for the air cargo terminal at Kaohsiung Airport. The total value of the contract is estimated at nearly €29 million.

The projects are scheduled for completion March 2010 (Taipei) and March 2011 (Kaohsiung) and will increase annual throughout at both locations by 500,000 each.
