Royal Jordanian (RJ) recently took delivery of the first of four Airbus A319 aircraft, part of its fleet modernisation plan.
The twin-engine aircraft carries 110 passengers and has a cargo capacity of just under three tonnes. RJ will use the aircraft on medium-range destinations in Europe, the Indian Subcontinent and the Arab Gulf – including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Singapore, Hong Kong and London – and will begin entering the fleet withintwo years.
The new aircraft will augment RJ’s existing fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft assimilated in the fleet in the past two years.
Four other planes will be introduced during the coming three months; two Airbus A321 and two Embraer 175, whereas two Airbus A321 will be phased out. The number of aircraft will reach 30 in June this year, reaching over 55 worldwidedestinations.
