China recently completed construction of a RMB 700 million (US$100 million), A380 aircraft maintenance hangar, claimed to be the largest one in Asia.
The hangar, located near the new third terminal in the Beijing Capital International Airport, has the capacity to accommodate all Boeing and Airbus series aircraft, including the A380 aircraft, according to the Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corporation (Ameco Beijing).
Ameco said it aims to carry out an annual maintenance services for 11,500 planes, according to the joint venturebetween Air China and Lufthansa.
