Singapore Airlines will further expand capacity on the Singapore ¨C Sydney route from April, with the progressive introduction of a fourth daily service, making it the first carrier to operate 28 weekly flights on this popular route. The added frequency will utilise the new Singapore Airlines B777-300ER aircraft. Together with the introduction of the new Airbus A380 super-jumbo on the route, the new service will expand capacity on the route by one third. Meanwhile, the carrier has taken delivery of its second A380 which will join the first aircraft, allowing some rotation of aircraft on the existing Sydney route, and providing opportunities for crew training, the carrier said.
