Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd(MASkargo) aims to attract the lucrative Middle Eastern air cargo business,the group said during a Malaysian tradeexhibition in Sharjah recently.
MASkargo managing director, Shahari Sulaiman, said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) remains a key market in the Middle East for the cargo carrier, due to its growing position as the region’s fastest developing economy.
“We are looking towards positioning our charter business as well as offering other key products to this region,” Shahari said.
MASkargo was also promoting the upcoming International Air Cargo Forum 2008 which will be held in Kuala Lumpur later this year.
Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo), the air cargo division of Malaysia Airlines, operates four B747- 200 and two B747-400 freighters covering the world’s major cargo hubs. It also offers belly space capacity on Malaysia Airlines passenger fleet serving nearly100 destinations.
