Panalpina announced recently that chief financial officer Jurg Honegger had “taken the decision to resign for personal reasons”. The Swiss global forwarder and logistics provider said Honegger would leave the company “during the course of next year to take up a new professional challenge”. His successor would be announced in due course.
Panalpina earlier this month reported continued strong organic growth and improved profitability in the first nine months of 2007. The company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of forwarding and logistics services, with some 500 branches in 90 countries. In a further 60 countries, it co-operates closely with partner companies.
