Clemens Kolbe recently took charge of the Dematic Group and is appointed president and CEO of Dematic GmbH (Offenbach). He succeeds Johann Löttner, who led the former Siemens unit in its transformation into a separate company and positioned it on the market as a successful global provider of intra-logistics solutions.
Löttner brought Dematic back into profitability and created an excellent base for further strategic expansion, the group said. Following the announcement of the change in leadership Johann Löttner emphasised: "The next step is to drive strategic growth. In Kolbe, Dematic has a proven expert who will tread the same path. I am convinced that with Kolbe Dematic will continue onward and upward; I wish him every success". Johann Löttner will remain available to Dematic in a consulting capacity.
Kolbe gained his doctorate in economics at the University of Hamburg. He then held managerial and CEO positions with ThyssenKrupp and the Schindler Group. He achieved considerable growth in both sales and profits for the units for which he was responsible.
Dematic S.E.A Pte Ltd in Southeast Asia has direct presence in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and works with local channel partners for Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.
