Lufthansa Cargo last month relocated five of its MD-11 freighter aircraft from Cologne-Bonn airport to Leipzig airport. The switch follows the gradual build-up of DHL’s new European hub in Leipzig. Lufthansa Cargo and DHL have established a joint cargo airline, which will begin operations in April 2009 from Leipzig.
