As part of its expansion plan, India’s GoAir has announced it is doubling its current flight operations from end-October and adding two new aircraft to its fleet by end-November.
As part of this strategy, GoAir will double the overall frequency of its network by increasing its flight operations from 259 flights to 561 commercial flights per week, by focusing solely on existing destinations.
GoAir’s operational expansion is being driven by record load factors for the airline – in excess of 80 per cent – and a 123 per cent jump in passenger traffic at the close of the second quarter.
GoAir will now operate 177 departures from Mumbai, 130 departures from Delhi, 40 departures from Hyderabad, 49 departures from Bangalore, 36 departures from Goa, 28 departures from Jaipur, 21 departures from Ahmedabad, 27 departures from Chennai, 14 departures from Cochin every week amongst others.
