“Th e Logistics Campus is the concept of a new generation,” said André van den Broek, in charge of consumer goods business at DHL Exel Supply Chain in Germany.

“Its key benefits include its sector-specific orientation and high level of standardisation. Compared to traditional logistics centres, we can off er our customers markedly better quality and fl exibility.” DHL has designed the centre in Unna to meet the requirements of manufacturers of cosmetic products and cleaning agents. Frequently changing assortments and seasonal capacity logjams are key features of this sector.

Th e campus concept is aimed at guaranteeing uniform standards in warehousing and transport processes as well as in the area of IT systems. In addition, identical hall designs ensure that services can be adapted to the customer’s warehouse capacity requirements at any time.
