INDONESIA: DHL airfreight grows 30%

The airfreight division of DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia has grown nearly 30 per cent in the last few years to over 360 tonnes monthly.

General Manager Airfreight Waskito Tirtanto said the tonnage growth will continue to improve, adding that the division’s import market share comprises 5-10 per cent, and export marketshare is 16 per cent.

DHL Global Forwarding’s key gateways are Jakarta and Surabaya with key customers such as Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Ecco (shoes), BASF and other pharmaceutical companies.
