US-based SEKO, a global provider of freight forwarding and logistics solutions, has expanded its operations into Dubai.

The new SEKO-Dubai station covers air, ocean and ground operations throughout the UAE. It serves as a major transhipment and distribution hub, with multimodal transportation throughout the entire Middle East, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), comprised of 11 former Soviet republics.

Due to increasing international trade and business development in the rapidly expanding area, Dubai has emerged as a major 21st century trading partner, creating a growing demand for international logistics services, which makes the new SEKODubai station a key link in the SEKO Global Logistics network.

The majority of goods imported and exported by SEKO-Dubai, are: consumer goods such as perishable, frozen and preserved foods; Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) such as toiletries, perfumes and cosmetics; automotive parts and more. SEKODubai also acts as the transit point for air and ocean cargo from the Far East to Europe and to the USA.
